Many people ask the question about how much bigger should I make the string so after I twist it and stretch it I'll have a string at the desired length. The attached Excel file uses calculations based on ArcheryTalk.com threads and our own experience in building strings. However the Excel spreadsheet has changeable variables at the top that let you customize the calculator to incorporate your own experiences. By duplicating the workbook you can have a disparate calculation for each material and combination you use. We've posted this Excel document for your free use, feel free to distribute it as you wish. Some people may have a different experience so please confirm the accuracy of this document with your own equipment and materials.
